Home ministry to look into Yasin Malik-Hafeez Saeed meet

NEW DELHI Home minister Sushil Kumar Shinde has said that an inquiry would be conducted into JKLF leader Yasin Malik sharing a dais with 26/11 mastermind Hafiz Saeed.

"I will look into the case and an inquiry would be done," said Shinde. I&B minister Manish Tewari added, "if anyone decides to share a dais with him (Hafiz Saeed), it is a matter of concern." Malik, at present in Pakistan, shared the dais with Saeed in Islamabad on Sunday, to mourn the execution of Parliament attack conspirator Mohammad Afzal Guru.

Malik, who observed a 24-hour fast, along with his supporters, was joined on the stage by Saeed, who also addressed the gathering. Malik demanded that the body of Afzal Guru be handed over to his family.
