In a statement, an NIA spokesperson said: “A complaint of misconduct was received by the NIA. An inquiry into the allegations is being conducted by a DIG rank officer. In the meantime, three concerned officials have been transferred out to ensure a fair probe.”
The three officers are alleged to have demanded Rs 2 crore from a Delhi-based businessman for “not naming him in a terror-funding case involving Mumbai attack mastermind Hafiz Saeed”.
NIA had received a complaint about a month back regarding the SP and two junior officers following which the SP was transferred to Lucknow, while two of his juniors were repatriated.
