"Central and state agencies are carrying out relief and rescue operations. I have assured the Chief Minister of all possible assistance from the Centre to help the people in flood-affected areas of the state," he said here.

Assam's flood situation has worsened following incessant rainfall in the catchment areas affecting nearly three lakh people in 13 districts of the state.
