Hindu population is reducing in India: Kiren Rijiju
NEW DELHI: The Minister of State for Home Affairs, Kiren Rijiju, today claimed on Twitter that the population of Hindus is decreasing in the country.

The Minister tweeted, "Hindu population is reducing in India because Hindus never convert people. Minorities in India are flourishing unlike some countries around." Rijiju was responding to the allegations made by the Congress about Arunachal Pradesh being converted into Hindu state by the Bhartiya Janta Party.

Rijiju also asked Congress to refrain from making such allegations, he said, "Congress should not make such provocative statements. India is a secular country. All religious groups enjoy freedom & living peacefully."

Rijiju further questioned the Congress' motive behind these allegations and said that the people of Arunachal Pradesh are living peacefully.
