The Himachal Pradesh unit of BJP today said the attack on Sarabjit Singh in Pakistan jail, which led to his death, was an outcome of the weak foreign policy of the UPA government.

SHIMLA: The Himachal Pradesh unit of BJP today said the attack on Sarabjit Singh in Pakistan jail, which led to his death, was an outcome of the weak foreign policy of the UPA government.

Expressing shock at the death of Sarabjit, former Chief Minister Prem Kumar Dhumal said the Centre should take up the issue strongly with the Pakistan government.

In a statement, Dhumal said the entire nation was with Sarabjit's family.

Former Chief Minister Shanta Kumar termed it a "planned murder" and said it was in violation of all international laws.

All India BJYM President, Anurag Thakur lashed out at the UPA government and demanded the resignation of Prime Minister, Manmohan Singh for the failure to protect the interests of the people, especially Sarabjit, who was killed in Pakistani jail.
