Virbhadra Singh today said that Himachal Pradesh has emerged as a "fast developing state" due to the people oriented developmental policies of the Congress government.

SHIMLA: Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh today said that Himachal Pradesh has emerged as a "fast developing state" due to the people oriented developmental policies of the Congress government.

Progressive programmes and development policies initiated by the Congress government has helped in the overall progress of the state, he said addressing a public meeting near Madag Jawala temple in gram panchayat Kot near Shimla,.

The Chief Minister targeted the previous BJP government saying it had stalled the development projects in the state.

Singh directed the Deputy Commissioner, Shimla to prepare a plan for expansion and beautification of Maa Jawala Temple Mandag premises besides constructing a Multi Purpose Community Hall.

He said that link road to Mata Madang Temple would be widened and tarred to facilitate the pilgrims.

Earlier, the Chief Minister visited Mohan Shakti National Heritage Park at Harth near Slogra in Solan district and said that the park would be another tourist attraction in the area.
