High level committee to study problems in naxal hit areas

The Karnataka government has constituted a high-level official Committee to study problems in naxal affected areas in coastal districts.

MANGALORE: The Karnataka government has constituted a high-level official Committee to study problems in naxal affected areas in coastal districts, including their infrastructure requirements, Chief Minister D V Sadananda Gowda said today.

The Committee is headed by Chief Secretary S V Ranganath, he told reporters here.

The team has also been asked to look into the memorandum submitted recently by a 15 member youth delegation from these areas, listing out the demands of people, like providing employment to check the naxal menace, he said.
