The rail traffic remained disrupted on Lucknow-Allahabad route for the second day today following Monday's derailment between Bhadohi and Mondh railway stations.

Senior officers were present on the spot, but it would take another 24 hours to clear the track, Divisional Railway Manager of Northern Railway A K Lahoti said.

A high-level committee comprising three members has been constituted to probe the matter and submit its report to the earliest, Lahoti said, adding that 13 of 27 wagons were badly damaged.

He said that as of now priority was to clear the track, which was damaged up to 100 metres.

27 wagons of a freight train derailed on Monday when its coupling got damaged between railway stations leading to the diversion of around a dozen trains.
