JAIPUR: Heat wave conditions aggravated in Rajasthan today, with Ganganagar sizzling at a maximum temperature of 44.9 degree Celsius, a MeT report said.

Mercury kept its upward trend with an increase of 1 to 3 degrees at many places in the state as compared to yesterday, the report said.

With an average of 40 per cent humidity all over, heat wave and sweating conditions affected the normal life in the state.

Bikaner recorded a maximum temperature of 44 degree C, followed by Churu and Jaipur at 43.3 degree C each.

Elsewhere, the maximum temperature varied between 40 and 43 degrees, barring Udaipur where it was 37 degrees.

Heat wave conditions would intensify as the dry weather would continue in the next 24 hours, a forecast by the MeT said.
