'He is finally coming home'
Haneef's wife is happy as her 27-year old doctor husband is finally coming home.
Firdous said she spoke to the Indian High Commission and was told that Haneef, who was cleared of terror charges by the Australian authorities, had been granted "bridging Visa".
Australian Immigration Minister Kevin Andrews, who cancelled Haneef's work visa on July 16 when a Brisbane magistrate granted him bail, said the visa remained cancelled but they have no objection to his leaving Australia.
Asked if the family planned to celebrate Haneef's release on his return home, Firdous said "Let him take rest for some time."
Asked if she would go back to Australia with Haneef in case he opts to work in the hospital there as earlier, she said "I have not decided. Maybe, no."
Firdous said she has not been able to contact Haneef yet.
