HDK, Chirag, Manjhi, Shinde, Ajit & Jayant could have one ministry each

The composition of the new cabinet is being worked out and on Friday, top BJP leaders discussed cabinet formation with NDA partners. Leaders from the parties in NDA reached to BJP national president JP Nadda’s residence and the minister allocation was discussed with them in presence of Union Home Minister Amit Shah.

Nadda, Shah held discussion with JD(U) chief and Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, TDP supremo N Chandrababu Naidu and Shiv Sena president and Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde.

After discussing with allies, Nadda and Shah held discussions with senior BJP leader and outgoing Defense Minister Rajnath Singh.



As per sources, JD (S), LJP (Ram Vilas), HAM, Shiv Sena, NCP, RLD and Apna Dal (S) could have one minister each.

From JD(S) HD Kumaraswamy, Jayant Chaudhary of RLD, Chirag Paswan of LJP (Ram Vilas) and Anurpiya Patel of Apnal Dal (S) may become ministers.

JD(S) is eyeing Agriculture Ministry, sources said.


From Shiv Sena Prataprao Jadhav name is being discussed and Ram Mohan Naidu name is being talked about from TDP as potential Cabinet Ministers from these parties.

It is also being considered that in first round of Cabinet formation there would be one MP from major allies, given Cabinet berth.

The discussion on Bihar was also on the table and sources tell ET that the formula for the cabinet berth from Bihar has been worked out.

Bihar chief minister Nitish Kumar, deputy chief ministers Samrat Choudhary, Vijay Sinha, Paswan and HAM leader Jitan Manjhi gathered at BJP national president JP Nadda’s resident to discuss the cabinet formation.
