A day before the HC notice, TDP president N Chandrababu Naidu had in a letter to PM Modi sought a central probe into alleged phone tapping carried out by the Reddy government, violating fundamental rights of citizens and right to privacy.
The controversy was triggered after Telugu daily Andhra Jyothi claimed in a report last week that smartphones of some judges were being tapped using sophisticated surveillance equipment.
