HC reserves orders in Yeddyurappa case

Justice K N Keshavanarayana, who heard both sides of the arguments which concluded here, reserved pronouncement of the orders in the matter.

BANGALORE: The Karnataka High court today reserved orders on petitions challenging the February 26 Lokayukta special court order to probe allegations of land scams against Chief Minister B S Yeddyurappa and others.

Justice K N Keshavanarayana, who heard both sides of the arguments which concluded here, reserved pronouncement of the orders in the matter.

Sohan Kumar, son-in-law of Yeddyurappa and others had filed the petitions, challenging the orders of a designated Lokayukta court that took cognisance of offences against Yeddyurappa and others relating to land deals.

The high court had stayed the proceedings before the Special Lokayukta court on March 29.

Meanwhile advocate Sirajin Basha, on whose private complaint the Lokayukta court had initiated proceedings, approached the high court praying for vacating the stay granted by it on the case.

The Supreme Court which dismissed Basha's petition challenging the stay, had directed him to approach the high court and the court to decide the matter within six weeks.
