Calcutta high court issues notice to centre on aviation safety of Mamata Banerjee
The HC notice, however, followed a public interest litigation by advocate Biplab Roy Chowdhury demanding separate investigation into several aviation incidents involving Banerjee.

A Dassault Falcon 2000 in which the Bengal CM was returning to Kolkata, after campaigning for Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav in Varanasi, had to make a sharp descent to avoid collision with another aircraft, as a result of which she suffered a back injury, Banerjee had said recently.
Following her complaint, a probe was ordered by DGCA and the West Bengal government ordered another probe too. The HC notice, however, followed a public interest litigation by advocate Biplab Roy Chowdhury demanding separate investigation into several aviation incidents involving Banerjee.
