HC issues notice to Jindal Saw on mine allotment

JAIPUR: The Rajasthan High Court today issued show-cause notice to Jindal Saw Ltd on a PIL alleging mineral scam by the group in Bhilwara district in the state.

A division bench of the court also asked the CBI to respond as to why an inquiry by it be not initiated and lease for mines and minerals allotted to the Jindals be not cancelled and auctioned internationally.

The order came on a PIL filed by Bhilwara press society and four others.
