HC grants conditional bail to Nitya Sachidananda
The Karnataka High Court today granted conditional bail to Nitya Sachidananda, a close associate of self-styled godman Nityananda, allegedly involved in a sex scandal.
When his bail petition came up, Single Judge Justice N Ananda granted conditional bail and asked him to furnish a personal bond of Rs 50,000.
He was directed to appear before court whenever hearing takes place and also not to tamper with evidence.
While Nitya Sachidananda was asked to surrender his passport, liberty was granted to him to move for relaxation of the condition whenever it is necessary.
Nitya Sachidananda, an NRI, was arrested on November 16 on charges of destruction of evidence in the criminal cases faced by Nityananda, including rape.
