Haryana to have EVM stores in all districts

FATEHABAD: Stores are to be set up in all districts of Haryana where proper maintenance and care would be taken of Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs), an official spokesperson said.

Chief Electoral Officer Shreekant Walgad took the above decision today after a meeting, the official added.

Earlier, Walgad visited the EVM store at Panchayat Bhawan and toured the site, near the mini secretariat here, identified for a new EVM store.

"This building would be a two-storied one. There will be a basement where EVMs would be kept... We are aiming to finish the construction within one year," Walgad said.
