CHANDIGARH: Candidates can file their nominations for next month's assembly elections in Haryana even on holidays falling on September 20, 23 and 25, the state Election Department said here today.

Candidates can file nominations on September 20, 23 and 25 as these are not public holidays under the Negotiable Instrumental Act, Chief Electoral Officer Shrikant Walgad said.

He, however, clarified that September 21 (Sunday) being a public holiday, no documents would be accepted on that date, according to an official release.
