Haryana land deals: CBI files case
NEW DELHI: The CBI has registered a case against builders and public servants for acquiring land from farmers and land owners at throwaway prices in three districts of Haryana, resulting in a loss of Rs 1,500 crore.

As per CBI, builders and public servants had purchased about 400 acres of land from farmers and land owners of villages in Manesar, Naurangpur and Lakhnoula. The Haryana government had lodged an FIR against the land deals from 2004 to 2007. The CAG report tabled in state assembly in March identified Robert Vadra’s Skylight Hospitality as the major beneficiary in Manesar where lands were given at a nominal rate by the then Hooda government.
