BHIWANI: The Haryana government is formulating a new education policy, aiming to form an advisory committee and give special importance to Sanskrit language, state education and languages Minister Ram Bilas Sharma said.

The new education policy aims to raise the level of qualitative education in government schools, the Cabinet minister said yesterday.

"The government will form an advisory committee comprising of senior educationists," Sharma said.

Sanskrit language would be given special importance in new education policy, he said.

Sharma, who also holds the transport portfolio, said about 14 lakh passengers commute daily in state transport buses and efforts are being made to provide better services to to the people in buses and at bus stands.
