Haryana government sends 11,000 packets of relief material to Nepal
CHANDIGARH: Haryana government today flagged off 11 trucks from here, carrying 11,000 packets of relief material for the earthquake victims in Nepal.

Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar, accompained by Yoga Guru Baba Ramdev, today flagged off teh trucks.

Speaking on the occasion, Khattar said the state government has already sent 21 trucks carrying relief material for earthquake victims of the neighbouring country. It has also provided financial assistance amounting to Rs 5 crore.

Terming the recent earthquake as grave tragedy, Khattar said the government would send another consignment of relief material to Nepal.

Haryana Food and Supplies Minister Ram Bilas Sharma informed that the next consingment would be send on June 20 and 21.

Describing the act as service to mankind, Ramdev said the Haryana Government under the leadership of Manohar Lal Khattar is moving ahead in every sector.

He further said that the state has fulfilled its social and moral obligation.

The relief material is provided by Haryana State Cooperative Supply and Marketing Federation Limited (HAFED).

Each packet contains five kg rice, one kg sugar, one litre mustard oil, one kg salt and 200 gram turmeric.
