Haryana FM Captain Abhimanyu says an attempt was made to kill 9 of his family members in Rohtak

CHANDIGARH: Haryana Finance Minister Captain Abhimanyu in an exclusive interaction with ET, said that the Protestors tried to kill nine members of his family in Rohtak by first locking them in a room and then trying to burn them alive.

"It was the neighbours who saw smoke and fumes, they intervened and were able to save my family, including my wife and children. I was in Chandigarh that time. Thousands of protestors remained their for hours. I could never believe that political conspiracies can go to this extent. It was done by the same people who are trying to present they care for this city Rohtak. Actually they have tried to ruin it all," Captain Abhimanyu told ET while hitting out at the Congress party.

"This was a conspiracy hatched by the disgruntled elements and political opponents who could not make it power through the democratic ways of Indian constitution. This kind of attack is one of the ghastly and cowardly act . The hooligans didn't allow my nine family members to come out of the house for hours. There was an attempt to kill all of them and the attack continued till next day. My priority as BJP senior leader is to look into all such incidents across the state and i make sure we are going to bare it all," FM said.

The loss of property is not a matter of concern but its more important that we expose this larger political conspiracy behind the entire agitation.

When asked on the losses state incurred .

"I have no way to measure the losses at the moment . I agree large scale devastation did happen but I am also sure Haryana will be back surviving and thriving. "
