CHANDIGARH: Haryana Council of Ministers today condemned the recent incidents of crime against women and assured the state's residents, especially women and children, of their safety and security.

The Council of Ministers met here under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda and passed a resolution expressing "heartfelt sympathies" with the victims of such crimes and their families.

"The Council of Ministers unanimously and unequivocally condemns such acts of barbaric insensitivity and violation of human dignity and expresses heartfelt sympathies with the victims and their families who have suffered the trauma of these tragedies.

"The Council of Ministers resolves, with indomitable will, to bring the perpetrators of such heinous crimes to quick justice," the resolution said.

It also assured women and children of security at all times, an official spokesman said here.
