Harish Rawat - 1, BJP - 0: 7 big developments in Uttarakhand

Former Uttarakhand CM Harish Rawat won the Assembly floor test after Centre revoked President's Rule in the state.

1. Harish Rawat will assume office as CM after President's rule is revoked, says Supreme Court.

2. Congress secures 33 votes, BJP gets 28 in the floor test.

3. Floor test was held on May 10 and delivered to the Supreme Court in a sealed cover.

4. Rahul Gandhi called it a victory for democracy and a lesson for Prime Minister Modi. "They did their worst. We did our best. Democracy won in Uttarakhand," he said.

5. Congress President Sonia Gandhi termed it as "victory for democracy".

6. Second big setback for BJP after the Supreme Court maintained that 9 rebel Congress MLAs who were disqualified will remain so and won't be allowed to vote in the floor test.

7. Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal said Congress' win is a "huge setback" to the Modi government. "Hope they will stop toppling Govts now (sic)," Kejriwal tweeted..
