Gurugram administration orders closure of all private establishments and factories except those producing essential goods

The district administration in Gurugram Saturday said that all private, corporate establishments and factories in the area will be shut till the end of the month, except those providing essential services, to prevent community transmission of covid-19.

“Production/manufacturing processes which require continuity of process/production of essential goods may continue to function at 50% staff strength but with due caution for social distancing/decontamination”, the district magistrate said in a directive issued late Saturday evening.

When contacted Maruti Suzuki said that its legal team is assessing the import of the directive.
