Gurudwara shooting in US: Oldest victim was 84-years-old

84-year-old Suveg Singh, who moved to the US eight years ago, was the oldest among the six people killed by a gunman at a Gurudwara in Wisconsin.

NEW YORK: 84-year-old Suveg Singh, who moved to the US eight years ago, was the oldest among the six people killed by a gunman at a Gurudwara in Wisconsin, while the youngest victim was 39 years of age.

Oak Creek Police Chief John Edwards said those killed at the Gurudwara included 41-year-old Paramjit Kaur and five men.

Those killed have been identified as Sita Singh, 41, Ranjit Singh, 49, Satwant Singh Kaleka, 62, Prakash Singh, 39, Suveg Singh, 84 and Paramjit Kaur, 41.

The shooting had left three people seriously injured and Edwards said their condition remains critical.

The gunman was also killed by the police. Balginder Khattra, son of the oldest victim said his father moved to the US in 2004 and came to the Gurudwara every day.
