Gun battle between Maoists, security forces in Jharkhand

LATEHAR( JHARKHAND): A fierce encounter broke out between Maoist guerrillas and security forces in the forests of Karamdih of Latehar district today, police said here.

At least four Maoists were said to be shot at during the encounter.

The gun battle began around 11.30 am and is still on at the spot which falls under Barwadih police station area, the police added.
