Gujarat's demand for land cannot be met due to shortage: Government

The Urban Development ministry today said it has not been able to meet Gujarat government's demand for allocation of land for expansion of Gujarat Bhawan here because of shortage of land.

NEW DELHI: The Urban Development ministry today said it has not been able to meet Gujarat government's demand for allocation of land for expansion of Gujarat Bhawan here because of shortage of land.

This information was given in the Rajya Sabha by Minister of State in the Urban Development ministry Saugata Roy in response to an unstarred question.

In his reply, Roy said the ministry had received a demand from the Gujarat government seeking land for expansion of the Gujarat Bhawan.

"It has not been found possible to allot land due to shortage of land," Roy said in his reply.
