Gujarat police deploy undercover women officers at Garba, Dandiya venues for Navratri security

Gujarat Police have tightened security across the state to ensure the safety of garba participants and maintain law and order during Navratri. Police personnel, Home Guards and Traffic Regulation Brigade (TRB) staff will be deployed at more than 22,000 garba venues.A three-tier security system has been put in place. State Police Chief Gyanendra Singh Malik has directed all district police chiefs and police commissioners to remain alert and intensify patrolling.Security at 364 Party Plots, 2,727 Public and 16,527 Street Garba VenuesPolice personnel will be deployed at 364 party plots, 2,727 public garba venues and 16,527 street garba venues across the state.Police teams will conduct regular patrolling in sensitive areas, crowded streets, shopping zones and garba venues. The focus is on ensuring that lakhs of participants can celebrate Navratri safely and without fear.
