Gujarat government spent Rs 31 lakh on building tent for PM Narendra Modi, says Congress
Gujarat Congress today alleged that the state government spent Rs 31 lakh on raising a lavish tent for PM Modi at Dhordo in Rann of Kutch.

The annual three-day conference of Directors General of Police and Inspectors General of Police organised by the Intelligence Bureau was today launched in the presence of Modi and Union Minister Rajnath Singh.
"Prime Minister describes himself a Pradhan Sevak but improper expenses have been made to build a tent for him. The money spent is huge," state Congress chief Bharatsinh Solnaki alleged here.
"We are not against the conference as such, they should meet and discuss national security but our problem is the expense done behind it," Solanki added.
In a statement earlier today, Congress leader Jayrajsinh Parmar claimed that Rs 31 lakh have been spent to build the tent for Modi.
"The Prime Minister himself has appealed to countrymen to forsake the LPG subsidy but is now living in a tent worth Rs 31 lakh," Parmar said.
He also criticised the state government for providing "royal treatment" to the Prime Minister.
"Gujarat government is spending huge money on the PM but not giving good price to farmers for cotton," he said.
