Gujarat government sets 100 days agenda, focus on human development
The state had drawn criticism for its poor human development index, which has not been able to keep up with the industrial development.

While perpetuating the Modi model in the state, she is also trying to carve her own niche. Her agenda for the next 100 days announced on Monday focuses majorly on human development.
Spokespersons of the Gujarat government , finance minister Saurabh Patel and health minister Nitin Patel, listed out 11 focus areas for the incumbent government. These included women empowerment, nutrition, cleanliness, strengthening of public services, filling up of government vacancies, urban development, training of government employees and smart schools.
The state had drawn criticism for its poor human development index, which has not been able to keep up with the industrial development. Patel has already announced to celebrate 2014-15 as Krishi Vikash Varsh. Patel has so far been displaying concerns to better the situation along with industrial development.
Already she has launched a drive for sanitation in every village and on Monday, the government announced that it would complete 50,000 personal toilets and approve 85,000 toilets in next 100 days.
Similarly it would organise 100 Lok Sambad (dialogue with people) at the block level in next 100 days apart from filling up 20,000 vacancies within the year 2014. Apart from vacancies, the government also intends to hold as many as 347 Rozgar Bharti Mela in the next 100 days that would generate 75,000 jobs. Further, it has decided to introduce e-learning across 500 smart schools and launch a drive for cleanliness across all schools in the state.
