Gujarat CM Anandiben Patel condoles APJ Abdul Kalam's death

AHMEDABAD: Gujarat Chief Minister Anandiben Patel condoled the death of former President of India A P J Abdul Kalam today, by saying the nation has lost an eminent scientist and a polite human being.

"My deepest condolence over the sad demise of former President A P J Abdul Kalam," she said.

"Nation has lost an eminent scientist and a polite human being. I pray for heavenly peace of the departed soul," she said.

Kalam, who had visited Gujarat on numerous occasions as President and is very popular among youth of the state, passed away in Shillong today.

Gujarat Governor O P Kohli also expressed his profound grief at the sad demise of Kalam.
