Guj Tourism Corporation to sell properties, land

Speaking to PTI, TCGL Chairman Kamlesh Patel said this is being done as a part of re-organisation of the company.


Vadodara: The Tourism Corporation of Gujarat Limited (TCGL) has decided to sell properties, including resorts and parcels of land owned by it, a top official of the state government undertaking said here today.

Speaking to PTI, TCGL Chairman Kamlesh Patel said this is being done as a part of re-organisation of the company, which was approved by the state government through two resolutions, one on March 9, 1994 and other on July 10, 2006.

The built-up properties intended for sale are Palace Beach Resort and Veraval Tourist Bungalow (both in Junagadh district), Hotel Sumenu at Palitana (Bhavnagar), Tourist Complete Valthan (Surat) Dwarka Guest House at Dwarka (Jamnagar) and Vafeteria located at sector-28, Gandhinagar, he said.

The parcels of land are located in Radhanpur (Patan district), Jagana (Banaskantha) Bamanbor and Sayala (Surendranagar) Vallabhipur and Katpar (Bhavnagar), Shamkhiyani (Kutch) and Hansalpur Viramgam and Sola (both in Ahmedabad), he added.

Patel said SBI Capital Market Limited (SBICAP), advisor to TCGL, has invited expression of interest (EOI) from prospective buyers. The last date for accepting the application was April 30.
