Groups clash in Ahmedabad

AHMEDABAD: Clashes between two groups erupted in the Gomtipur area of the city tonight during which shops and vehicles, including a bus, were set on fire, police said.

The two groups resorted to arson and stone pelting. City Commissioner of Police Shivanand Jha said the situation was brought under control.

A couple of persons were injured in the clashes and were taken to a nearby hospital, they said.

The cause of the clash was yet to be ascertained, police said.
