Groupism in party will not be tolerated: Kerala PCC chief

Action would be taken as per organisational rules against persons who continue with groupism, Sudheeran told a press meet here after a KPCC executive meeting.

Thiruvananthapuram: Making it clear that groupism in the party would not be tolerated, KPCC chief V M Sudheeran today said action would be taken against those who continue with such activities.

Action would be taken as per organisational rules against persons who continue with groupism, Sudheeran told a press meet here after a KPCC executive meeting.

Stating that it was time for all Congressmen to work unitedly to face the Lok Sabha polls, Sudheeran said leaders also should shun making controversial statements that would create confusion among people and partymen.

KPCC would organise 'Janajagratha Sadas' (awareness meetings) against communalism, fascism and culture of murder politics at panchayat levels, he said.

The meeting also held discussion on the code of conduct to be followed by Congress ministers and other leaders in the state. It would be finalised after holding further discussions in party-government co-ordination committee, he said.

The meeting wanted Congress leaders to avoid any contact with tainted persons, he added.
