Grenade attack victim dies in hospital

A protestor wounded in a grenade attack during a rally against reversion of land transfer to Amarnath board succumbed to his injuries at Government Medical College Hospital.

JAMMU: A protestor wounded in a grenade attack during a rally against reversion of land transfer to Amarnath board succumbed to his injuries at Government Medical College Hospital on Monday, official sources said.

Manjeet Singh was among 21 injured in the attack that took place in Bhaderwah town in Doda district on July 2.

Security has been strengthened in sensitive areas in and around Bhaderwah where there is no relaxation of curfew.

Bhaderwah is the Assembly constituency and native place of Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad.
