NEW DELHI: Government will bring a resolution in Parliament against the one passed by Pakistan's National Assembly accusing Indian troops of "unprovoked aggression" on the LoC.

When Rajya Sabha met for the day today, Ravi Shankar Prasad (BJP) raised the issue and asked the government to bring a resolution in the House.

Minister of State for Parliamentary Affairs Rajeev Shukla said the House has been unanimous during such situations.

Minister of External Affairs Salman Khurshid has been spoken to and a resolution is being prepared, he said.

The House will be informed when it is ready, he said, adding the resolution will be passed unanimously.

The resolution passed unanimously by the lower house of Parliament in Pakistan condemned the "unprovoked aggression by Indian military forces across the LoC in recent days". Naidu told reporters outside Parliament that the resolution will be passed unanimously in both Houses as it is not a subject of BJP or Congress.

"It is a concern of the entire country. The entire country should speak in one voice against the Pakistan National Assembly resolution. We should condemn it and reject it," he said.

He said, "If Parliament passes the resolution unanimously condemning Pakistan's stance, a strong unified message will go to them."

On the possibility of Prime Minister Manmohan Singh's meeting with his Pakistani counterpart Nawaz Sharif next month at New York on the sidelines of UN General Assembly, Naidu said, "There should not be any talks. Terror and talks cannot go together. Unless Pakistan will stop promoting terror in India there is no meaning of any talks with them."

The BJP leader said it was "a known fact that Pakistan is abetting, aiding and funding terrorism. They should be exposed. Our PM should not meet Pakistan PM...A strong message should go to Pakistan."
