Govt should step down if it fails to check inflation: Naidu
Flaying the UPA on rising inflation, BJP said the Central Goverment should step down if they are unable to curb the rising prices.
"If UPA government is capable of bringing down the inflation, it should govern the country or else they should step down. That is the demand of the people," BJP leader said, addressing a rally organised by the state unit of the party.
"The UPA government is clueless on how to control the inflation. And not only that they also don't know how to run a coalition successfully," he said.
"If the same situation prevails, the Congress and its allies will be sweeped out of power in the coming elections. This the beginning of the end of Congress rule," he added.
Congress has lost 10 assembly elections out of 12 held since they came to power in May 2004.
Naidu said the government's policies are anti-farmer and has led to decline in agricultural production.
"The policies of the government have completely ignored the farmers and the rural sector. Just by giving loan waivers one cannot escape responsibilities," he said.
