Govt nominates Ashwani Kumar to PM’s HLCM
The government has nominated Dr Ashwani Kumar, minister of state for Industry, to an empowered sub-committee of the High Level Committee on Manufacturing (HLCM).

The government has nominated Dr Ashwani Kumar, minister of state for Industry, to an empowered sub-committee of the High Level Committee on Manufacturing (HLCM).
HLCM has been constituted to monitor the implementations of the recommendations of the National Manufacturing Competitiveness Council (NMCC).
The committee has been set up under the chairmanship of the Prime Minister with the minister of commerce & industry, finance minister, deputy chairman Planning Commission, chairman Economic Advisory Council and chairman National Manufacturing Competitiveness Council (NMCC) as its members.
The committee will formulate, review and approve policy papers and proposals for submission to the HLCM. The Empowered Sub Committee will monitor the follow up action on implementation of the decisions taken by the HLCM.
The Empowered Sub-Committee will act as the main executive body of the HLCM and submit its periodical reports for consideration of the Prime Minister.
