Govt effects reshuffle in bureaucracy; Trivedi new NACI boss
In a bureaucratic reshuffle involving 17 senior IAS officers, the Centre on Tuesday appointed Viswapati Trivedi as Joint Chairman-cum-Managing Director of the National Aviation Company of India.

NEW DELHI: In a bureaucratic reshuffle involving 17 senior IAS officers, the Centre on Tuesday appointed Viswapati Trivedi as Joint Chairman-cum-Managing Director of the National Aviation Company of India.
Trivedi, a 1977 batch IAS officer of Madhya Pradesh cadre, will have the rank and pay of Additional Secretary, an official release said.
Loretta Mary Vas, Joint Secretary in the Department of Economic Affairs in Finance Ministry has been promoted as Additional Secretary in the same department.
Sundaram Krishna, Joint Secretary in the Defence Ministry will now be the Additional Secretary in the same ministry following in-situ elevation of the post.
Shamsher K Sheriff will be the Secretary to the Vice President in the rank and pay of Additional Secretary, while Pradeep K Deb has been appointed Senior Adviser to the Executive Director, Asian Development Bank in the rank and pay of Additional Secretary.
Alok Rawat will be Secretary, Union Public Service Commission in the rank of Additional Secretary.
Ajay Bhattacharya, Joint Secretary in the Agriculture Ministry, has been appointed Administrator in the Department of Telecommunication in the rank of Additional Secretary.
Sudhir Krishna will be Additional Secretary in Panchayti Raj Ministry in place of B K Sinha, now posted as Director General, National Institute of Rural Development.
G Balachandran, Joint Secretary in the Environment and Forest Ministry has been posted as Chief Executive Officer, Food Safety and Standards Authority in the Health Ministry in the rank of Additional Secretary, while Naved Masood will be Additional Secretary and Financial Adviser in Health Ministry.
