Governor's rule ends in Jammu and Kashmir

According to a Raj Bhavan spokesperson, today's proclamation issued by the Governor brought to an end the period of Governor's rule in J&K.

JAMMU: Jammu and Kashmir Governor N N Vohra today revoked Governor's rule in the state, following the swearing in of the Mufti Mohammed Sayeed government.

The proclamation for imposition of the Governor's rule was made on January 9. In exercise of powers conferred on him under Section 92 of the Constitution of Jammu and Kashmir, he had assumed all the functions of the government of the state.

According to a Raj Bhavan spokesperson, today's proclamation issued by the Governor brought to an end the period of Governor's rule in Jammu and Kashmir.
