Glen Joseph Galstaun was today nominated as the representative of the Anglo-Indian community in the Jharkhand Assembly.

RANCHI: Glen Joseph Galstaun was today nominated as the representative of the Anglo-Indian community in the Jharkhand Assembly.

Governor Syed Ahmed nominated Galstaun to the House as there is a need for a representative from the community, an official notification said here.

"I am thankful to the Raghubar Das government for giving me a chance for the second time to serve the community and the society," Galstaun told PTI after taking oath in the chamber of Speaker Dinesh Oraon.

"I am looking forward to serve better in the coming years," he added.

With his nomination, the strength of the House has gone up to 82 from 81.

The state had its third Assembly polls in November/ December and BJP-led NDA formed the government.
