Governor K Rosaiah inaugurates second phase of polio immunization

CHENNAI: Even as the World Health Organisation has declared India polio free since last year, the state government today launched the second phase of its polio immunisation programme to achieve 'absolute results.'

Governor K Rosaiah today inaugurated the second phase of the programme at the Raj Bhavan here, administering polio vaccine drops to babies, a Raj Bhavan communique said.

Rotary District 3230 Governor Rotarian A P Khanna, Polio Plus- Rotary District 3230 Chairman Rotarian Uday Kumar and others were present, it said.
