LOKPAL BILL, 2011 To enact legislation relating to establishment of the institution of Lokpal to enquire into allegations of corruption against public functionaries. Introduced in Lok Sabha on August 4, 2011, and referred to the standing committee on personnel, public grievance, law and justice

JUDICIAL STANDARDS AND ACCOUNTABILITY BILL, 2010 Seeks to (a) lay down judicial standards, (b) provide for the accountability of judges and (c) establish mechanisms for investigating individual complaints for misbehaviour or incapacity of a judge of the Supreme Court or High Courts

PENSION FUND REGULATORY & DEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY BILL, 2011 Gives statutory status to the body. It also renames the New Pension System as the National Pension System. Members of the PFRDA will include a chairperson, three whole-time members and three part-time members. Each of the members shall hold office for five years

PUBLIC INTEREST DISCLOSURE AND PROTECTION TO PERSONS MAKING THE DISCLOSURES BILL, 2010: Seeks to set up a mechanism to receive complaints of corruption or willful misuse of discretion against a public servant and provides safeguards against victimisation of the person making the complaint

SEEDS BILL, 2004: Seeks to repeal and replace existing Seeds Act, 1966, which does not deal with the quality control of GM seeds. It plans to regulate the quality of seeds for sale, import and export, besides facilitating production and supply of good quality seeds

CHARTERED ACCOUNTANTS (AMENDMENT) BILL, 2010: Amends the Chartered Accountants Act, 1949. It seeks to allow members of the Institute of Chartered Accountants to form limited liability partnerships and form partnerships with members of specified professions

LIFE INSURANCE CORPORATION (AMENDMENT) BILL, 2009 Amends the Life Insurance Corporation Act, 1956, which had nationalised life insurance business by transferring it to the Life Insurance Corporation of India

PETROLEUM AND MINERALS PIPELINES (ACQUISITION OF RIGHTS OF USERS IN LAND AMENDMENT) BILL, 2010 Seeks to amend the Petroleum and Minerals Pipelines (Acquisition of Rights of Users in Land) Act, 1962, which provides for the acquisition of right of user in land for laying pipelines for the transport of petroleum and minerals
