Government would provide skill training to one lakh PwDs

NEW DELHI: Government would train one lakh Persons with Disabilities (PwDs) under the National Action Plan for Skill Development of PwDs this year.

In his reply to a question in Lok Sabha, Union Social Justice Minister Thaawar Chand Gehlot said that the target of providing skill training to one lakh PwDs has been fixed for the year 2015-16 under the National Action Plan for Skill Development of PwDs, which was announced in March this year.

The National Action Plan is effective from the current financial year of 2015-16, he added.
