Government urged to restore traditional land of Nagas
Various tribal and social organisations of Nagaland has urged upon the state government to give sincere efforts to protect and restore the traditional land of the Nagas.

The appeal was made during the ' Nagaland Tribes Consultative Meeting' on border issue between Assam and Nagaland held under the aegis of United Naga Tribes Association of Border Areas ( UNTABA) in Dimapur yesterday.
The meeting urged "the Government of Nagaland to give sincere efforts to protect and restore the traditional land of the Nagas in accordance to the 9 Point Agreement and 16 Point Agreement and also review the present map of Nagaland," stated UNTABA Chairman, Hukavi T. Yeputhomi.
UNTABA also appealed to the State Government to seriously take up the Assam-Nagaland border issue at the political level for final settlement on the basis of traditional historical facts.
The meeting also urged the Government to review and strengthen the Bengal Eastern Frontier Regulation 1873 and make it relevant and effective and also to bring Dimapur area under Inner Line Permit zone.
