The state government today sent air tickets for the nine youths from Uttarakhand stranded in Malaysia to facilitate their return, official said today.

DEHRADUN: The state government today sent air tickets for the nine youths from Uttarakhand stranded in Malaysia to facilitate their return, official said today.

The air tickets were sent to Malaysia at the initiative of Chief Minister Harish Rawat through Uttarakhand's Resident Commissioner in Delhi S D Sharma, District Magistrate of Tehri Yugal Kishore Pant said.

Most of the youths, stranded in Malaysia since the seizure of their passports there early this month, hail from Tehri district.

They had gone there last year in search of work, Pant said.

The stranded youths are likely to board their flights at 8.30 tomorrow morning, he said.
