Government releases postal stamps on Swachh Bharat mission
"The stamps have been designed through the participation from the people and what makes them more special is that they have been designed by children," Prasad said.

The stamps were launched at a consultative workshop with states and stakeholders on smart cities.
"The stamps have been designed through the participation from the people and what makes them more special is that they have been designed by children," Prasad said here.
The ministry had received about 9,000 designs for the postal stamps, he added.
The idea behind such exercises is to reach out to the people in all possible ways on the need to keep their surroundings clean and the importance of cleanliness, Prasad said.
Naidu said: "These stamps have been designed by children and if we can inculcate in them this practice of keeping their surroundings clean, half of our efforts will be over."
An important aspect of smart city is a clean city and it can go a long way in helping to utilise resources, he added.
Refering to the death anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi, Singh said: "Today is Martyr's Day and there can be no greater service to Mahatma Gandhi than taking a pledge to clean India."
