Government pursuing integrated approach for employment of tribals
50 per cent of the amount sanctioned for 'Skill Development' programmes by the ministry is to be expected for ST girls/women, Vasava added.

In a reply to a question, Minister of State for Tribal Affairs Mansukhbhai Dhanjibhai Vasava said the ministry under its 'Special Area Programmes' provides funds as an addition to the State Plan for carrying out skill development and employment-cum-income generation activities.
During the financial years 2014-15 and 2015-16, the ministry has impressed upon the state governments for promotion of need-based integrated livelihood initiatives and skill upgradation of tribals to get respectable jobs, the minister said.
