Government is committed to Telangana, says PM

NEW DELHI: Prime Minister Manmohan Singh told an all-party meeting that his government was committed to formation of Telangana. He urged political parties to make best use of the time available during Parliament’s short winter session beginning December 5.

Many political parties urged Speaker Meira Kumar to extend the winter session. There was also an agreement among the leaders on introduction of the Telanagana bill during the session.
